Aching Heart

My heart aches with a pain so deep, It feels like a wound that won't heal or sleep. The tears keep falling, my soul in despair, For a love that was lost, a heart beyond repair.

I try to move on, to let go of the past, But the memories linger, a love that didn't last. I search for solace, for a glimmer of hope, But my heart remains broken, too shattered to cope.

The days are long, the nights even longer, As I struggle to find my way out of this somber. The pain is real, the hurt so intense, As I try to make sense of this love's pretense.

My heart aches with a pain so deep, As I realize that love is not mine to keep. I will move on, though the scars will remain, For a love that was lost, a heart in vain.
